  2. I had the pleasure of attending the panel and it was beneficial to me as a future teacher. One particular point that caught my attention was when one of the presenters raised the issue of stereotyping students. I believe a lot of teachers limit their students ability to learn based on how they perceive them, so I was able to connect with presenter on that aspect.

  4. I was not able to attend this particular but I did attend the mini workshops on Thursday. The information that Dr. Jones presented was a big help to me. In many ways it was an eye opener. Dr. Cleven introduced me to something new. It is something that I will definitely be using in my own classroom. Dr. McDavid was on point with the information that she presented concerning ethics, social media and hiring practices.

  5. What stood out in tonight’s presentation was that the principals showed support of their faculty and staff. I think this demonstrates strong leadership skills and can positively influence teacher retention.

  6. I did attend the panel discussion and I would like to say it showed the administration’s passion for education to take time out of their busy schedule and help expand our knowledge about the educational field. Wonderful experience!!

I was able to attend the principals panel on Wednesday evening. I learned about sharing ideas, networking, building relationships with parents and students, and creating a platform that contributes to the success of all students. I appreciated that the floor was open for discussion at the end of the principals panel. The panel encouraged conversation and collaboration, as well as enhancing the entire communities' way of thinking about successfully educating our children. I enjoyed all the speakers.

  8. During the American Education Week at FSU I had the opportunity to attend the principals panel. As a future teacher, this was awesome and I learned a lot. Many things were said that I didn't know and it was very informative. To meet principals from the surrounding schools and have them just talk to us about their job, how they got to where they are and why they do what they do was the best thing that I could have been apart of. The one question that I have is when are we having this again. I really want to know so that I can go to it.
